An IPTV player for Android, built from Android’s own parts

Aina uses Material’s own buttons, switches, menus and fields, so it looks and behaves like the rest of your phone, and puts your channels, films and series a tap away, with a player that plays what your provider actually sends.

Live TV in Aina on an Android phone: channels with logos, numbers, and now and next

A player that plays everything

Aina plays every stream with libVLC, the engine of VideoLAN’s VLC, rather than relying on what your phone’s own decoder accepts. HLS, MPEG-TS, MP4, MKV and AVI play in one player, with the same controls.

  • Drag the timeline, double-tap to skip, and swipe for brightness and for the phone’s own volume.
  • Audio tracks and subtitles, playback speed, picture size, a sleep timer and a control lock.
  • Picture in Picture, so a stream keeps playing over your other apps.
  • Google Cast to a Chromecast or a television with Chromecast built in.
  • Channel up and down without leaving the picture, and the next episode by itself.

Downloads

Download films and episodes, or a whole season in one go, to watch without a connection where your provider allows it. Pause and resume them, and save a finished one to a folder of your choosing or share it.

Phones and tablets

On a tablet, Aina gives your library the room: more posters to a row, and plots and ratings with space around them. On a phone held sideways, the grid adds columns rather than stretching posters taller than the screen.

Readable at any size

Text follows your font size and display size, up to the largest, and changes the moment you change them, with no restart. TalkBack reads every control, and messages that appear by themselves are read aloud.

Everything from your line

  • Xtream Codes and M3U playlists, as many as you have.
  • Live TV with now and next, the TV guide and catch-up.
  • Films and series, resume, and Continue watching.
  • Parental controls, and the whole app in English or Arabic.
  • Built for big lines: tested with a 300,000-entry playlist, without running the phone out of memory.

What you need

An Android phone or tablet with Android 7.0 or later and Google Play, and a subscription from an IPTV provider of your choosing. For the television, the same app runs on Android TV and Google TV. Aina is coming to Google Play soon.
